Terms of Service

HealthIQ is an educational service that summarizes published health research, grades the strength of the evidence behind each finding, and personalizes what it shows you based on the goals and profile you provide. It is not a medical provider, it doesn’t give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it doesn’t create a doctor-patient relationship. Read the Medical Disclaimer before relying on anything here.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk; we never see your password. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you notice anyone using your account without permission. Profile details are optional and self-reported; personalization is only as accurate as what you enter, and nothing is checked against a medical record.

Don’t:

• use HealthIQ in place of advice from a qualified healthcare provider;
• scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy the research database;
• get around usage limits, access controls, or security measures;
• submit anyone else’s personal or medical information without their permission;
• use the service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

You keep ownership of the text, links, and screenshots you submit to Check-a-Claim, search, or feedback. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the service, including sending claim text to our AI provider and to public research databases, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t publish your submissions or add them to the public research database. If you upload a screenshot, we keep only the text read from it.

The summaries, evidence grades, and explanations HealthIQ writes belong to us. The underlying research belongs to its authors and publishers, and we link to it where we can. You may use HealthIQ’s content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and share individual findings with the share links we provide. Anything else, including copying or redistributing the database, needs our written permission.

Findings may name the podcasts, creators, researchers, journals, universities, or agencies they came from so you can check the source. HealthIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, including Huberman Lab and Andrew Huberman. An evidence grade describes how well published research supports a claim; it isn’t an endorsement or a criticism of the person who made it.

If you believe something on HealthIQ infringes your copyright, email help@davidcartiermedia.com with: the work you believe is infringed; where it appears on HealthIQ (a link); your name and contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by you, your agent, or the law; a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We’ll review it promptly and remove or disable material that infringes.

Much of HealthIQ’s content is written with the help of AI and is not individually reviewed by a person before you see it. It can contain errors. Check the linked sources, and see the Medical Disclaimer for how to treat it.

HealthIQ is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that any finding is correct, complete, current, or right for your situation, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Atlanta Aerial Solutions LLC and the people who work on HealthIQ won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, illness, or health outcome that results from decisions you make based on content from HealthIQ. Our total liability for any claim relating to HealthIQ is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently $0, because the service is free). Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law where you live permits.

If a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or infringed someone’s rights, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

HealthIQ is a small independent service with no uptime guarantee. Features may change or be removed. Usage is subject to fair-use limits, including a daily cap on AI-powered checks. We may suspend or end the service, and we’ll try to give reasonable notice if we do.

HealthIQ is free today. If we add paid plans, we’ll publish prices, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before anyone is charged. See the Refund Policy.

You can stop using HealthIQ at any time and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service, for example by scraping or evading limits.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to HealthIQ will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these terms takes away consumer protection rights you have under the law where you live.

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we’ll also tell you in the product or by email where we reasonably can. If you keep using HealthIQ after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between you and us about HealthIQ. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
